Ingredients
  

Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice from ½ medium lemon
  • 4 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper or red pepper flakes

Tilapia

  • 1.5 pounds tilapia fillets pat dry with paper towels
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt for seasoning

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley leaves coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the oven to 425ºF. Stir together the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, paprika, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and season them with kosher salt, placing them in a baking dish.
  • Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the tilapia fillets.
  • Bake until the tilapia is just cooked through and flakes easily, about 18 to 20 minutes.
  • Garnish with coarsely chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice.
