  • 1 pound Chicken sausage Sliced, can choose variety.
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets Fresh or frozen.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 4 cups Chicken broth For cooking orzo.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning Adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated, for creaminess.
  • ¼ cup Fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Cooking Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add sliced chicken sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream before serving. Adjust seasoning as desired.
