Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • large pot

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (12-ounce) Heinz chili sauce (1 ¼ cups)
  • 1 can (14-ounce) jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 bags (14 to 18-ounce) frozen cooked bite-size Italian meatballs (about ½ ounce each; do not thaw)
  • finely chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Whisk Heinz chili sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce together in a slow cooker until mostly smooth. Stir in frozen cooked meatballs.
  • Cover and cook until meatballs are heated through and sauce thickens, 2 to 2 ½ hours on HIGH or 3 to 4 hours on LOW. For thicker sauce, cook uncovered on HIGH for last 30 minutes.
  • Transfer meatballs and sauce to a serving dish, or serve straight from slow cooker. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a stovetop version, cook everything uncovered in a large pot over medium-low heat until heated through and sauce thickens, about 25 minutes. Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
